Hope you had an awesome weekend! Paul and I got up to Blue Mountain for some early season downhill skiing, which was awesome! I also had the chance to catch a trio of Team RevCon athletes on CBC Sports Saturday afternoon.
Apparently All That Glitters Is NOT Gold…
First it was Scott & Tessa having the skate of their lives in the Free Dance at the Grand Prix Final in Japan. The were less than 0.1 point behind their US rivals who finished the short dance in first place (despite being out of synch on one of their key elements – details, details).
Scott and Tessa were AWESOME (again) in the free – yes, I am biased, but they actually were awesome and you can watch for yourself in the video below…
The judges still felt different so they were awarded second place in the Free Dance and the Silver medal for the weekend – still a nice result, but hmmmmmmmmm. Anyway, when you look at how much they have fine tuned this program in just three weeks since their last competition in France, I cannot wait to see how it evolves over the next two months heading into Sochi.
The People Have Spoken…
Then it was Damian Warner’s turn to take the spotlight – no he was not doing one of those winter decathlons you hear so much about 😉 He was busy being named the CBC ‘People’s Choice’ for Canadian athlete of the year! WoooHoooooooooo! He beat out Patrick Chan and Milos Raonic – it was awesome and well earned!

Looking forward to getting out to the Western Fair arena tonight to see three of our London Jr. Knights in action. Hope you all had a great weekend and are pumped for another successful week!
Cheers,
