Michael Hughes BSc
Strength Coach

My passion towards exercise science sprouted from my relationship with sports at a young age. Growing up, I was always actively participating in a variety of sports, which helped me develop a broad vocabulary of movement.
After years of playing both team and individual sports including: Hockey, Volleyball, Snowboarding and Golf, I decided to gear my education toward my passion. After completing the Fitness and Health Promotion program at Fanshawe College, I continued my academic journey with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Ontario Tech University.
During my educational journey, I worked with Wheelchair Rugby Canada during their 2014 season where they earned Gold at the Wheelchair Rugby Nationals. I moved into a supervisor role in 2017 for the Invictus Games. This experience showed me how much I loved contributing to an athlete’s skill development and helping teams do the right training to help them achieve their goals.
Today, my focus is to be a conscientious coach, continue to learn and develop my coaching skills so I can help even more athletes live their dreams. Everyday I walk in to RevCon I feel blessed to work with not only outstanding and elite athletes, but more importantly with amazing people and that’s why I feel incredibly fortunate to be a Coach for Team RevCon.
