Well – it is snowing again – WOW – I did not expect that! And here I was all ready to do a post on nutrition for soccer players with the spring like weather you enjoyed over the weekend. I was in Nova Scotia presenting at their Spring Sports Conference and the weather was okay, but not as nice as it was in the Forest City.
Anyway, I know our weather will change and soon you soccer players will be back out on the pitch, so that is why I asked Registered Dietician Lisa Cianfrini of www.NutriGeneRD.com about why soccer players still eat orange slices during their games and if there was something better they could be eating to fuel their performance.
Here’s what she had to say…

So you can keep eating oranges, but you might need to supplement with a little more water and maybe a bit more carbohydrate if you are really battling hard out there. That makes it easy.
Have an awesome day gang – think warm thoughts.
Cheers,
M
