Working her way to Rio…
Over the Christmas holidays I had the pleasure of working with one of my all-time favourite Team RevCon athletes, Shelina Zadorsky.
She has been a road warrior since earning a soccer scholarship to the University of Michigan. Well, she has finished her degree, helped Michigan continue their strong tradition of excellence AND was selected to play for Canada at the Pan Am Games in Toronto.
During her time here at Christmas, we spent a lot of time working on her first step quickness and explosiveness before she was off to the Soccer Canada training camp where they would select the squad that would be charged with earning a spot in the Olympic tournament this summer. Although they are defending bronze medalists, it will not be an easy task.
Well – as you may have guessed, she was selected to that squad. So she will join fellow Londoner Jesse Fleming on the pitch as they work their way back to the Olympic Games. Here’s the article from the Free Press on the two of them > CLICK HERE.
